Ricoh MH5220 Printhead

This Ricoh head (MH5220 series) is compatible with UV based inks.

A 2.5 pl drop size allows for excellent print quality without graininess. With 1,280 nozzles configured in 4 x 150dpi rows, this head achieves high-resolution 600dpi printing. Additionally, the ink paths are isolated, enabling a single head to jet up to two ink colors.

Ricoh inkjet print heads are made of stainless steel. These heads are highly robust and offer excellent anti-corrosion properties for multiple inks, resulting in excellent durability and extended service life.

Support for different inks

With its built-in heater, these heads are capable of jetting high-viscosity inks. Additionally, the ink path is isolated from the actuator (piezo elements) , i.e. no ink contact.

Variable drop volume capability

Ricoh’s open waveform policy allows tailored multi-drop printing of between 2.5 – 9pl, enabling high quality grayscale printing.

The Ricoh GEN4 MH2420 printhead is suitable for a range of aqueous, solvent and UV printers. This printhead has an integrated heater and thermistor. This is Ricoh original printhead and it is covered by a manufacturer warranty. This cable including the connector is 44 cm long. The version with short cable has been discontinued. The long cable version is used as an alternative. The printhead comes with hose barb ink inlet that can be removed in. case o-ring sealed ink inlet are required. This printhead corresponds to Ricoh part numbers N220792W, N220792S, N220792U or N220792E.
